This webpage provides a one-stop reference point for potential clients, partners, and team members to become familiar with ERP’s service offerings in the Medical Research and Readiness practice.

ERP’s Medical Research & Readiness Solutions practice leverages decades of experience in the medical and information technology arenas to meet national defense and homeland security challenges.

The Medical Research & Readiness Solutions practice brings experience, highly qualified staffing, business processes, and digital transformation to deliver medical research and readiness on the scale that our nation’s agencies demand. The practice builds on demonstrated performance serving the Defense Health Agency, agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as well as the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Navy.

Our goal is to support, propel and advance federal health research that improves the lives of service members, veterans, and the American public. The objectives of ERP’s Medical Research and Readiness Solutions practice are to deploy its capabilities and collaborate with other organizations in related fields through partnerships, alliances, and other contract vehicles in service to our nation.

This practice is led by Vice President for Medical Research & Readiness, Rick Starrs, and Chief Scientist, Dr. Venkat Rao. Mr. Starrs is an Army veteran with more than 30 years of experience, including senior assignments in the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command at Fort Detrick, Maryland, and at the Office of the Army Surgeon General in Falls Church, Virginia. When asked about the new webpage, Rick stated, “I’m happy to see the launch of our webpage to communicate ERP’s growing capabilities. We look forward to working with all federal health stakeholders in resolving critical research and readiness challenges.”

Dr. Rao brings 30 years of experience supporting federal clients and a unique combination of highly specialized domain knowledge and expertise in biomedical sciences, public health policy and programs, and health information technology systems in support of defense and civilian health programs.
